WHY BLENDING THE LINES OF HOME, SCHOOL, AND SOCIAL LIFE ARE THE KEY TO STRONG K-12 RESULTS
Participants will explore the different variables that are typically kept separate by the structured lines of K-12 systems across the country. Participants will be provided with a perspective that can help to build on what works with the current educational system on both a micro and macro level. This is all done with the intent to reach more of our students effectively.
POVERTY, EDUCATION, & THE WORLD CREATED

COLLEGE STUDENT SESSIONS:
HOW TO TRANSLATE THE TOOLS AND SKILL-SETS GAINED FROM PROVIDED PROGRAMS TO THE REAL WORLD.
Participants will learn how and why it is critical for them to translate the tools and skill-sets they have developed to the real world. Every year colleges, universities, and other organizations invest thousands of dollars to provide students with opportunities to gain transferable skills to their lives beyond college. Unfortunately, every year thousands of students fail to translate those tools and skillsets which is prohibiting them from achieving the success they desire and the success the world needs to them to experience. Utilizing real world scenarios, professional/personal experience, and knowledge from professional affiliations, students will be given a view into the complete picture of how the skills they develop now will impact their future.
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY OPERATE AND LEAD A STUDENT ORGANIZATION AS A TRUE SERVANT LEADER.
Participants will learn the basics of operating a student organization from the functional level up to the advisory level. Students will learn important aspects like the importance of and how to conduct a meeting, take minutes, utilize the proper chain of command structure in an organization, and how to view the status of the student organization from the adviser's perspective. We also cover how to be a good officer and overall SERVENT LEADER of an organization. In addition, topics of diversity, critical thinking, conflict, networking, privilege and many others that are all relative and translate directly to the real world can be intertwined. This learning outcome is a great compliment to the efforts student affairs professionals push daily.
HOW DIVERSITY RELATES, TRANSLATES, & DRIVES OUTCOMES TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE.
Participants will learn about the impact that diversity has on the world, their environment, and ultimately their lives.
